Network Connectivity
The X-300 and X-600 can now be controlled remotely: by plugging the fluxer into a network/ethernet (wired outlet) connection, the user can control it by duplicating its screen on another device such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.
And, once the network connection is set up, the user can also optionally toggle an extra feature that allows a Katanax service engineer to remotely access the unit, for debugging/diagnosis purposes.
Data Logging
The X-Fluxers now support data logging. This allows for sample tracking and can eventually be integrated into a customer's LIMS system. The sample IDs may be entered before the fusion, either manually on the fluxer's touchscreen, or via an optional barcode reader. The data can be retrieved manually on a USB stick connected into the fluxer, or remotely by FTP over ethernet if the unit is connected.
All X-Fluxers (X-300 and X-600 series) built in October 2020 and later already provide these new features, at no additional costs.
What about older X-Fluxer units ?
All X-Fluxers purchased in 2019 and 2020 already have all the necessary hardware, and can be upgraded to incorporate these features by downloading the latest version of the firmware. Free of charge !
(Older X-Fluxer units with a version not ending with "E" allow only the Data Logging.)
